Workshop on Corporal Punishment Organized
The Legal Literacy - Nepal organized a workshop on "Legal Provisions against Corporal Punishment of Children and Preventive Measures" with School Management Committee, Parents/guardians and children on 16 September 2022 in the meeting hall of Ward Number-03 of Tokha Municipality. In the program altogether 17 participants including the Chairs of School Management Committee of Community Schools, guardians and children were present. In the program the findings of data collected on corporal punishment from 10 districts of different provinces of Nepal was shared and discussed on the roles of different stakeholders to prevent corporal punishment in schools and community.
The workshop was organized in coordination by Tokha Municipality. The program was funded by DKA Austria.
