LLN Awards Participants of Child Rights and Anti-Violence Drawing Programme

Legal Literacy – Nepal (LLN) organized a certificate and prize distribution program for participants of the Drawing Art Programme on Child Rights and Violence Against Children, recognizing the creativity and commitment of young students in promoting child rights. A total of 26 students from Grades 6 and 7 representing six public and private schools (Shree Saraswoti Secondary School, Shree Jalupa Secondary School, Shree Dhapasi Secondary School, Tilingatar Secondary School, Asia Pacific School, Southwestern School) participated in the competition. During the program, each participant received a Certificate of Participation, educational note copies and a set of colour pencils (selected ones only). Participating schools were also presented with a token of appreciation in recognition of their valuable support and encouragement.

The drawing programme aimed to raise awareness among students, teachers, and parents about children's rights and the prevention of violence against children through creative expression. Prior to preparing their artwork, students were encouraged to discuss the concepts of child rights, child protection, and violence against children with their classmates, senior students, teachers, and parents. This interactive approach helped deepen their understanding of the issues and inspired thoughtful artistic representations of children's rights and protection.

Through this initiative, LLN sought to promote child participation and encourage children to become advocates for safer and more child-friendly schools and communities. The organization extends its sincere appreciation to all participating students, schools, teachers, and parents for their enthusiastic involvement and support.

The program was supported by DKA Austria.
